Good Morning,

I know we’re sounding like broken records here but it’s this market that won’t give us anything new to say. Another week trapped inside the trading range 1.00-1.10. Every time it looks like we’re going to make a run at the top end of the range, Brazil and Colombia say “this far, and no further”.

Motivated mostly by factors outside of coffee, we had another decent run up. It could be said that the market appears to be making a base, but for that to be true, we have to break this groundhog day cycle. It’s going to be a short comment because there is little to add about this market we haven’t already said.

Our Honduras Marcala has just shipped, both SHG and FTO SHG and will be in to NY on Feb 13th.   We have a full lot of Mandheling in Continental and another about to come in. Just a few bags left of FTO Mandheling, that one went really quickly. We are waiting on the replacement PSS and hope to get that shipping soon.

Panama SHB, Mexico SHG FTO, and some really nice Brazils are coming soon, stay tuned to this channel for more information.

A quick word about a dear friend. Last week we lost a very dear friend in Pieter Van Hest, a member of our extended family for many years. The picture of him here is one of our favorites. Pieter loved to travel to producing countries and we shared many a trip with him. If you knew him you know the smile he has on in the picture was always with him. We lost him way too soon, and we wont go to Colombia without at least listening for his voice, even so. Godspeed dear friend.
